Qualification required in order to apply:

  • Previous Support Worker experience of 12 months or more
  • You must have the legal right to work within the United Kingdom
  • You must be able to communicate effectively at all levels and have the ability to understand and be understood, both verbally and in written format
  • You must be able to work individually and in a team, under pressure and to time deadlines and within a varied work pattern
  • Be working towards, or willing to work towards, a recognised Social Care qualification
  • You must have patience, empathy, tact and understanding
  • You must have the ability to interact with people of all ages, race, gender or ethnic origin without distinction or prejudice

Your day-to-day tasks might include:

  • Providing personal care such as bathing, toileting and dressing
  • Hourly rounds and routine checks
  • Night duties
  • Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations
  • Working with families and other support workers
  • Ensure efficient and effective use of all resources
  • Attend mandatory and in-house training sessions as directed by your line manager
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and clinical guidelines for self and others
  • To undertake a responsible attitude towards economy and care of equipment and property and be aware of conditions predisposing to accidents

  • Hourly pay from £8.97 to £15.69 per hour
  • Mileage expenses up to £0.25 per mile

Mandatory requirements:

  • An Enhanced DBS check will be required
  • 2 Verified references from previous employers
  • Verification of right to work within the United Kingdom
  • It is essential that you have your own transport as travel will be required (mileage paid via expenses)
